Breastfeeding is the biological norm for us. However, that doesn’t mean that it is always easy, or that it will feel natural straight away.  If you’re struggling with breastfeeding, or you need some extra support, I can help.

An IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) is considered the “gold standard” in breastfeeding support.

As an IBCLC, I’m able to explore more complex feeding problems and help you come up with a plan to meet your feeding goals.

You can access my FREE “Early Days” course which has a module on breastfeeding here.

I also have a night weaning webinar here.

I also have some articles about feeding on my blog page.

Some of the breastfeeding issues I can help with:

A full consultation involves:

  • An online questionnaire.
  • A face to face assessment, lasting roughly an hour*. During this assessment, I’ll explore details of your pregnancy and birth, your medical history, as well as carry out an oral and physical assessment on baby. I’ll watch a breastfeed and offer suggestions and discuss a plan with you.
  • I’ll follow up with a written plan and keep in touch with you for an agreed period of time (this time period depends on the issues you’re having).

A full face to face consultation costs £100, plus mileage. Payment plans are available, and if you really do need an IBCLC consult but can’t afford one, please contact me anyway, as I may be able to suggest an alternative.

*Please note that I am currently not carrying out in person consultations in the first instance, due to the covid-19 restrictions. I can offer an online consultation for £70, which includes most of the assessment process, plus a written plan and follow up.  If a face to face assessment is still required, this will incur an additional £30 charge, plus mileage, as required.  I will wear PPE and limit contact with you and your baby.
