How is a newborn consultation different from a breastfeeding consultation?
A newborn consultation is suitable for all parents – whether you are breastfeeding or bottlefeeding. If you feel like you need a more detailed consultation which focuses on sleep, your baby’s fussy behaviour and your needs, then a newborn consultation is ideal. If you feel like breastfeeding is mostly going ok, but you still need support with fine tuning feeding, fussiness and/or sleep, then a newborn consultation may be a better choice for you.
A breastfeeding consultation focuses primarily on resolving breastfeeding problems, although it may also be appropriate to look at other issues, such as reflux or gassiness as part of a breastfeeding consultation. If you are really struggling with breastfeeding and this is your primary concern, then a breastfeeding consultation is a better choice for you. Find out more here: BREASTFEEDING CONSULTATIONS
