I’ve been there too, counting down the minutes until my child finally falls asleep and I have some peace and quiet. It’s really hard to juggle the demands of family life, and work and look after your needs too.

Simplicity Sleep: the method
In this course, I guide you through three steps to improving your preschooler’s sleep. Each step improves sleep and helps you get closer to your goal. With each step you eliminate issues that affect sleep. By the end of the course you’ll have covered all potential causes for your child’s sleep problem. You’ll start to see improvements in your child’s sleep quickly, and by the end of the course, you’ll have a plan in place to help you meet your goals!
1. Simple Sleep Solutions – we’ll look at background issues that may affect sleep, including diet and nutrition, sleep hygiene, bedroom environment, as well as some other issues that you may not have thought about, such as sleep disordered breathing.
2. Sleep Shaping – we’ll look at your child’s sleep patterns and optimize them to reduce night waking, bedtime battles, and early waking.
3. Sleep Strategies – when you’re ready, I’ll take you through some gentle, responsive strategies to help your child fall asleep calmly and contentedly in their own room, and help them stay there all night!
Your preschooler’s brain – this module helps you understand how your child thinks and why they behave the way they do. Based on the work of Dr Gordon Neufeld, I give you a brief introduction to what is going on in your child’s brain! When you understand why your child behaves the way they do, it’s much easier to see what you can do about it.
Simplify Your Life – over the years, I’ve realized that parents are overwhelmed and exhausted. Often, a child’s sleep acts as a catalyst for seeking support, but there is so much we can do to improve our day to day lives, even when sleep is tough. This module is packed full of practical tips to help you manage all the other “stuff” you have to deal with as a parent. It’s designed to help you live more intentionally, and focus on what really matters to you.
If you do nothing
Honestly? Eventually your preschooler will mature and start sleeping better. They’ll start sleeping independently. All kids do eventually! However, if you really need something to change today, then you need to take action today.
By this age, your preschooler’s sleep is probably habitual. They are used to bedtime playing out in a certain way, and knowing that you’ll eventually give in and let them sleep in your bed. That won’t magically change from one day to the next, unless you do something about it.
