Welcome to the roller coaster of having a newborn baby!

It’s time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride!

Having a new baby can feel so overwhelming.

There’s the sleepless nights, trying to figure out breastfeeding, a little person who squirms, grimaces and cries a lot, and you haven’t a clue what they need. Plus, you’ve just birthed a baby, you’re sore, and you’re more exhausted than you’ve ever been before. As much as you need to, you can’t really rest and recover because your baby needs you 24/7.

This course will help you through those first few weeks with a baby, with confidence. You’ll not just survive, you’ll thrive.

Can I help you navigate the next few weeks?

I have 20 years experience working with new families.

As a midwife, I spent many years working on the postnatal wards and out in the community, caring for new mums and babies.

As an IBCLC (considered the gold standard in breastfeeding support), I bring 5 years of expertise in infant feeding to this course.

But that’s not all.

I also hold a degree level qualification in infant sleep, I’m accredited in the neuroprotective developmental care of babies, I have training in maternal mental health, colic, reflux and allergies, to name but a few of my further qualifications.

I am a newborn expert!

Did I find becoming a new mum easy? Absolutely not! It was a HUGE shock to my system, even though I’d been a midwife for 10 years at the time. I even struggled the second time around. I know how hard those first few weeks can be.

This course will help you:

HOW does this course help you?

There are four main modules in the course. The course runs chronologically, from week 1 to week 14 of your baby’s life.

Each module is then further broken down into 8 areas:

  • 4 that relate to your baby (behaviour, sleep, feeding, and nappies/weight gain) and
  • 4 areas that relate to you (physical changes, mental health, sleep, and relationships).

The course strikes a balance between giving your enough information, without overwhelming you with unnecessary detail. You’ll find out what’s normal at each stage of your baby’s life, and find practical, evidence based suggestions for issues that commonly crop up. There are audios, videos and printouts throughout the course to help make learning easy and accessible.

Community is vitally important when you are a new parent, so there is ongoing support through a Facebook group. If you want some extra, personalized support, there are a few options for this too!

FAQ’S

What if I haven’t had my baby yet?

This is perfect! You’ll get the full benefit of one of my bonus modules which is all about preparing for your baby’s birth, and you can go ahead and get started on the course and revisit it at any stage you need to.

What if I don’t have time to sit down and do the course once I’ve had my baby?

Good question! Almost all of the written content is also included in the audio recording for each module. This means that you can listen to the course on the go. You don’t need to sit and read through pages of information unless you want to.

I’m bottlefeeding, will the course still be relevant?

Yes! The feeding sections in each module cover both breastfeeding and bottlefeeding, and I talk about the differences between breastfed babies and bottlefed babies throughout the course! It’s not all about the breastfed baby.

How do I know it’s right for me?

This course is for parents who want to be responsive to their baby, but are feeling overwhelmed by the reality of caring for a newborn baby. There are no rigid schedules to follow, and throughout the course, I’ll encourage you to develop a sense of curiousity and openness about what your baby is telling you through their behaviour. I don’t believe in self-sacrifice, so this course is about making life easier for you, too!

How long do I have access to the course?

You’ll have access for six months – plenty of time to go through the materials during pregnancy, and after your baby is born.

Is it affordable?

You get support for 14 weeks of your baby’s life for less than £1 a day. That’s expert support for the first three months of your baby’s life. It’s a bargain!
